SafetyCall International, PLLC (SCI) is currently seeking full-time Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to work as Health Information Specialists in our Bloomington office or remote from a home office. Candidates who live in Minnesota outside of the Twin Cities area or in the following states are eligible for remote from home positions: Arkansas, Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Louisiana, Michigan, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington and Wisconsin. Remote staff must be able to train in our home office in Bloomington, Minnesota for a 3-4 week period and meet the IT requirements described below. The company will reimburse for lodging and travel expenses for the training period.
SCI is a 24/7 multidisciplinary health care practice that provides manufacturers in various industries with adverse event management, regulatory reporting services, post-market surveillance, customer service and consulting services nationally. Our staff includes pharmacists, toxicologists, veterinary toxicologists, nurses, emergency medical technicians/paramedics, pharmacy technicians, health information specialists, veterinarians, certified veterinary technicians, regulatory specialists and other trained professionals.
The LPN, Health Information Specialist position is responsible for managing and documenting adverse events, lack of efficacy cases and product safety/product use inquiries via telephone and email reported by consumers and health care professionals related to various dietary supplements, over the counter and prescription drugs and other consumer products. This position also manages exposure cases for household and industrial products/chemicals. Health Information Specialists triage cases, provide health, safety and technical product information to consumers and health care professionals and escalate cases to trained medical professionals as needed.
Health Information Specialists document cases received via phone and email into SafetyCall’s electronic databases to facilitate adverse event reporting to regulatory organizations such as the EPA and FDA on behalf of our clients. Health Information Specialists may also follow-up on reported cases via phone and/or email to ensure the wellbeing of the consumer and gather additional information regarding cases such as recovery/health status or additional product information. SafetyCall offers possible growth opportunities for Health Information Specialists and the opportunity to get involved in various company committees along with case presentation opportunities.
This position is in a professional office setting or remote from home.
Schedule: This is a mainly evening shift position. Shifts are 8 hours between the hours of 2PM-12AM CST with occasional earlier mid shifts (11AM-7PM, 12PM-8PM CST). The work days will vary and will include weekends (typically 2 per month, both Saturdays and Sundays) and some holidays. Overnights are not required. Because of weekend scheduling, staff will work more than 5 consecutive shifts in a row during weeks they work a weekend. While we may be able to work with some minor scheduling restrictions, flexibility in availability is highly preferred as we operate 24/7.Scheduling is done several weeks in advance. Please note that the first 4-6 weeks will be mainly daytime hours for training
No Background/experience in the regulatory, toxicology or pharmaceutical field is required. We offer an extensive and ongoing training program.
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in good standing
- 1+ years work experience as an LPN or similar role in the healthcare field.
- 1+ years experience with customer service, either in person or via the telephone strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with keyboarding and accurate data entry, PCs, Microsoft Office, and common computer software and hardware
- Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, during stressful or high pressure situations as well as on a regular basis
- Ability to work varying shifts including days, evenings and weekends (both Saturdays and Sundays)
- Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance
- Ability to deliver high quality customer service with patience and compassion
- Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Excellent verbal and written communication that is clear, concise, professional, empathetic and compassionate
Remote Agent Requirements:
Candidates who work remotely must have or be willing to obtain and maintain at their expense certain IT requirements including a land line telephone with the ability to connect to a headset (cell phones cannot be used), reliable high speed internet with an ISP that can supply a cable modem internet service with a minimum of 10mb download speed, desktop computer with Windows 10 and the capability to display two monitors (no Mac). Candidates must also have a designated home office area that meets certain requirements and may not have any other responsibilities during the time they are working such as caring for dependents.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
A part time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) currently licensed and registered in NC, who provides practical nursing skills for clients in our home health care business.
The LPN will operate within the scope of nursing practice standards in collaboration with RN case managers/supervisors, teaches and educates clients and their families according to the established professional plan of care.
Licensed Practical nursing is performed under the supervision of the assigned RN’s, Agency Director, and Nursing Supervisor.
Organizational Relationship: Reports directly to the assigned registered nurse or Nursing Supervisor
Risk Of Exposure To Blood Borne Pathogens: HIGH
– Will be a graduate of a LPN program.
– An active license to practice professional practical nursing in North Carolina.
– A minimum of one (1) year experience as a LPN nurse.
